Best MA scratch games right now

Comparisons among negative-expected-value games — the least-bad picks today, updated daily. Descriptions of the current numbers, not predictions.

Every Massachusetts scratch game has a negative expected value — on average you lose money, so there is no “good bet” here. These are least-bad / best-relative picks to help you choose if you decide to play — not predictions, and not advice to buy. Must be 18+. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER. How the numbers work: methodology.

1. Most likely to win anything

Winning “something” usually means a small prize — often less than the ticket cost.

2. Best odds of beating the price

A prize worth MORE than the ticket — winning your money back doesn’t count. Estimated from remaining prizes; most tickets still lose.

3. Best odds of a meaningful win (10×+)

A prize worth at least 10× the ticket price. Still long odds — estimates from remaining prize counts.

4. Best jackpot odds right now

Still extremely long odds — the best among longshots, not “likely.”

5. Best value right now

Still under $1 returned per $1 — every game loses money on average.

6. Most favorable vs. launch

A better-than-launch edge on a longshot is still a longshot.

7. Best by price point

“Best” here = most prize money returned per $1 at that price (still under $1).

8. Biggest jackpots still unclaimed

A big prize you can still win doesn’t mean good odds of winning it.

9. Avoid — dead jackpots

These can no longer pay a top prize but may still be on sale — there’s no jackpot left to win.

For balance — the other end among games still on sale: weakest current value is $50 in a Flash (2023) at $0.48 per $1; most unfavorable vs launch is $2,000,000 50X CASHWORD 2025 (edge −18.4%).
