The short version: InstantMass doesn’t have accounts, doesn’t set cookies, and doesn’t run third-party analytics or trackers. The only counting we do is an anonymous tally of visits that arrive through our own campaign links (described below). This page describes exactly what does and doesn’t happen.

What we collect

No personal information. There are no user accounts, logins, sign-ups, or payments on InstantMass today, so we don’t ask for or store names, emails, or payment details. The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to put in an email to us (see Contact).

Cookies

We don’t set any cookies.

Analytics & tracking

No third-party analytics, no visitor tracking. We don’t run analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Cloudflare Web Analytics, no Umami/Plausible) and there are no advertising networks or third-party trackers on the site.

One thing we do count: campaign links. Some links we publish carry a referral tag in the URL — for example, the QR code on our printed cards points to a page address ending in ?ref=card. When a visit arrives through such a link, we add one to an anonymous per-day counter for that tag (“card: 12 visits on June 4”). That tally is the entire record: it contains no IP address, no cookie, no device or visitor identifier, and no record of who you are or what you do on the site. It can’t be used to track or profile anyone — it only tells us which referral sources (a printed card, a forum post, a flyer) actually bring traffic.

What’s stored in your browser

The ranked-games table saves your display preferences (such as which filters and “hide” toggles you’ve set) in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and contains no personal information. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

Fonts & images

Fonts and the official ticket images are served from our own servers (the images are cached to our storage). Your browser does not fetch fonts from Google or images from the Lottery’s CDN — so loading a page doesn’t hand your visit to those third parties.

Hosting & the one third party

InstantMass is served through Cloudflare (our CDN, network tunnel, and edge). To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes standard connection data — for example your IP address and basic request metadata — and may keep short-lived logs for security and reliability, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We don’t use that data to identify or profile you.

We don’t sell your data

We don’t sell, rent, or share personal data — we don’t collect any to begin with.

Children

InstantMass covers the Massachusetts Lottery, a product restricted to adults (18+); the site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone.

US visitors only

InstantMass is intended for visitors in the United States, and access is geo-restricted to the US (traffic from outside the US is blocked), so this policy doesn’t address the EU’s GDPR. US state privacy laws may still apply — for example, California’s CCPA/CPRA may give California residents certain rights. Because we don’t collect personal information (no accounts, cookies, analytics, or sale of data), there’s little to act on, but you can reach us at [email protected] with any request.

Changes & contact

If our setup changes (for example, if we ever add analytics, ads, or accounts), we’ll update this page and its “last updated” date. Privacy questions: [email protected].
